Longjing tea was also known as Dragon Well tea, is a variety of roasted green tea from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China where it is produced mostly by hand and has been renowned for its high quality, earning the China Famous Tea title.

This tea variety is often called the national drink of China and is frequently given to visiting heads of state. It is a favorite tea amongst the primaryland Chinese leaders, with a portion of production reserved for government Tailor-madeers.

When steeped, the tea produces a yellow-green color, a gentle, pure aroma, and a rich flavor. The tea contains Vitamin C, amino acids, and, like most finer Chinese green teas, has one of the highest concentrations of catechins among teas.

Shi Feng Longjing is a type of Xi Hu Longjing. This tea is considered the highest quality in China[citation needed]. Fresh tasting, its fragrance is sharp and long lasting. Its leaves are yellowish green in color. Some unscrupulous tea makers excessively pan-fry their tea to imitate its colour.


Zhang Yiyuan Teahouse, a well-known China¡¯s time-honored brand with a history over a century, was founded in the 26th year of Guangxu Emperor, Qing Dynasty (1900 A.D.). Zhang Yiyuan got through the ISO9002 and ISO9001 international quality system certificate in 1999 and 2003 respectively. Its characteristics are clear water, strong fragrance, sweet taste and lingering aftertaste. In 2007, the processing technique of jasmine tea of this century-old brand was on the intangible cultural heritage list and the secret of its success was an entirely hand-made technique. It was recognized by China General Chamber of Commerce as ¡°The No.1 Brand of Chinese Tea¡±.
